Safety is the responsibility of all members of the rowing community, including athletes, coxswains, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators. Please ensure you are familiar with the following safety information before visiting the Meridian Rowing Centre.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\" id=\"important-safety-notices-from-sir\">Important Safety Notices from SIR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"using-the-sir-facilities-outside-of-regattas\">Using the SIR Facilities <strong>outside of Regattas<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"planning-a-training-camp-at-lake-ruataniwha-all-rowing-teams-must-check-in-with-the-complex-custodian-prior-to-or-on-arrival-at-the-sir-complex\">Planning a training camp at Lake Ruataniwha? All rowing teams MUST check in with the <a href=\"https:\/\/ruataniwha.co.nz\/index.php\/about\/contacts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complex custodian<\/a> prior to or on arrival at the SIR complex. <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Head to the <a data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"620\" href=\"https:\/\/ruataniwha.co.nz\/index.php\/training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Training<\/a> page for further information on safety notices while training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"safe-use-of-the-sir-facilities-during-regattas\"><br>Safe use of the SIR Facilities <strong>during Regattas:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-2-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"site-safety\">Site Safety<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please control your speed when driving and obey road signage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please do not ignore, alter or shift any safety signage or barriers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please report any damage to the Regatta Secretary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please report any Health &amp; Safety issues to the Regatta Secretary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The waterfront road should be treated as such. Pedestrians should be aware of cycles, particularly when coming and going from tent sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"rubbish\">Rubbish<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please use the bins provided and be prepared to take your rubbish with you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please do not bring your rubbish to the complex use the Council facility on Ostler Rd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dogs\">Dogs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dogs are allowed in the Rowing Complex during Regattas ON LEASH ONLY.
