The Board of South Island Rowing are pleased to announce the appointment of Kelvin Maker as the Complex Custodian for the Meridian Rowing Centre, Lake Ruataniwha. Kelvin will be known to many through his time rowing out of the North End Rowing Club, Dunedin. Kelvin had a long and successful career working for Fuji Xerox in Dunedin, before turning one of his passions, tramping, into a career taking up a position as a Trail Guide predominantly on the Milford Track where he completed several seasons as a guide. More recently following the effects of Covid-19 on the tourism industry Kelvin has been working for Mt. Cook Alpine Salmon on their Ruataniwha Farm where he has undertaken most of the training for those commencing work as aquaculture farmers.
We look forward to working with Kelvin, he takes up the Custodian role on 4th October.
