Volunteers soaked up ‘perfect regatta weather’ at the lake over the weekend while getting hands on doing a variety of tasks around the Meridian Rowing Centre. Many ‘shovel ready’ projects were undertaken including log splitting of pines which has been removed in recent weeks as part of the Environment Canterbury wilding pine cleanup scheme.
